The life as an artist isn´t easy, especially in Germany! This documentary is about the person “Ben Wichert”, a freestyle HipHop dancer from Germany (family from Ghana). Get a view inside his life, his passion!
He started like everyone, a regular kid with regular problems. He successfully finished his school and started a good career in a big german car supplier company. Besides his way, he tried to become a professional dancer and he did it. 2012 he was the first german dancer who won the Juste Debout HipHop Worldchampionship in the Bercy stadium. But how he reached this?
Ben will talk about his biggest motivation and his passion to HipHop and how he thinks about the life as an artist.

Outbreak is a hip hop festival that was established in 2003 in Florida, USA. Ever since, Outbreak has been bringing back the true essence of hip hop thru putting all four hip hop elements together, respecting and carrying on the traditions of the hip hop culture. Being a Dj is definitely not easy – well better if I say “was not” easy when I was at the begining. Firstly, I had to possess my own equipment, then lets say sort of repertoire that you may play at the parties plus you had to build your own brand and reputation. Besides the dedication, all of the mentioned required lots of investments, which are definitely not one-off type but continuous ones. I was visitng my local vinyl store on weekly basis for a regular dose of music for sort of ‘digging’ in order to find out something new. After couple of years, lots of parties I played at and several battles as well, I started to explore the mystery of this skill and in the end I found that being a DJ comes with huge responsibility.
